No više od samih utrka, FSAA promiče inovaciju, multidisciplinarnost, inženjersku izvrsnost i međunarodnu suradnju.
Velika Gorica tako postaje domaćin studentima i mentorima iz čak 19 država, uključujući Njemačku, Italiju, Španjolsku, Hrvatsku, Grčku, Poljsku, Mađarsku, Austriju, Rumunjsku, Bugarsku, Francusku, Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo, Tursku, Albaniju, Makedoniju, Portugal, Sloveniju, Slovačku i Finsku.
Sudjeluju timovi s nekih od najprestižnijih europskih sveučilišta poput:
Graz University of Technology, University of Belgrade, Ljubljana University, University of Maribor, University of Rijeka, Split (FESB), Brno University of Technology, Hochschule Karlsruhe, TU Ilmenau, UAS Landshut, UPC EEBE, UAS Aalen, Politehnica University of Timisoara, Sapienza University of Rome, Technical University of Crete, University of Birmingham, Kocaeli University, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, Gdańsk University of Technology, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, University of Modena, Universidad de Vigo, Transilvania University of Brasov i brojni drugi.

From August 11 to 16, the city of Velika Gorica will once again become a hub of youth, innovation, and high-speed engineering as it hosts the largest-ever edition of Formula Student Alpe Adria (FSAA).
Taking place at the Bugatti Rimac test track in Mičevec, this year’s competition brings together more than 1,600 students from 93 university teams, coming from across 19 countries in Europe and Asia. What sets FSAA apart is the fact that all participating teams build their own race cars — combining cutting-edge technology, engineering skills, teamwork, and creativity.
63 teams will compete in the Electric Vehicle (EV) category and 30 teams in the Combustion Vehicle (CV) category, including several alumni teams. This year marks the highest participation since the competition began, showcasing its growth and international reach.
Participants come from some of Europe’s most prominent technical universities, including:
Graz University of Technology, University of Belgrade, University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor, University of Rijeka, FESB Split, Brno University of Technology, Sapienza University of Rome, Hochschule Karlsruhe, TU Ilmenau, UAS Landshut, Kocaeli University, UAS Aalen, Technical University of Crete, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, University of Birmingham, Gdańsk University of Technology, Politehnica University of Timișoara, and many more.
Aside from the racing and technical challenges, FSAA is a unique opportunity for these young innovators to discover Velika Gorica — a city that many will be visiting for the first time. Positioned just minutes from Zagreb Airport, Velika Gorica offers visitors a mix of tradition, community spirit, and modern energy that leaves a lasting impression.
Supported by the City of Velika Gorica, the Tourist Board of Velika Gorica, and the Velika Gorica University of Applied Sciences, FSAA is not just a competition — it’s a meeting point for future engineers, ideas, and global collaboration.
