In the name of Turopolje and in the coat of arms of the town of Velika Gorica, there is the word "tur", the name and the figure of a cattle with long horns. People think that the name of Tur's field (Turovo polje) is derived from old Slavonic word "tur", which was used for longhorn cattle, and it contained the meaning of "fertility" and the "God of Sun".
